This chair was newly designed and produced specifically for the main reading area of the Ishikawa Prefectural Library.

To make the corridor side feel more spacious and to accommodate wheelchair users and strollers passing by, the chair has a cantilevered frame made of beech plywood with no rear legs instead of the typical four-legged design.

To make the sitting experience more comfortable and to allow for easier movement, the armrests have been made slightly shorter.

The backrest features a striking tension fabric (mesh material) in the vivid Kaga Gosai colors, which serves as a marker for the east, west, south, and north directions. The seat uses black upholstery.
